CORPUS YEAR- END REPORT 2017

header1

2017 was a year of transition and big changes for CORPUS.

RETIREMENTS: LINDA AND RALPH PINTO, BOB WALDEN, ANTHONY PADOVANO.

All of us in CORPUS are grateful for the hard work and dedication of Linda and Ralph, as Editors of CORPUS REPORTS; for Bob Walden and his many years of service as TREASURER; for Anthony Padovano for his forty years as CORPUS AMBASSADOR, nationally and internationally. It has been an honor working with them and with Gloria Durka and Paul Bumbar, Co-Secretaries of CORPUS.

Fortunately, Gloria and Paul are continuing to serve on the Executive Council with us. They are doing an outstanding job in very important positions for the organization.

FINANCES: We are serving as INTERIM TREASURERS, until we find a new Treasurer. We have moved all CORPUS funds and Bookkeeping to Massachusetts. We are grateful to Sue Sehmer, who served as our Interim Bookkeeper, after the sudden death of our previous Bookkeeper, Marcia Stephens. R.I.P. Our new Bookkeeper is Teresa Cotnoir, of Northampton, MA.

If any members of CORPUS are interested in serving as Treasurer, we would welcome your help.

NEW PROGRAMS:
SURVEY: under the leadership of Bob Walden and Joe Cece, we have completed a Survey of CORPUS members. We have appointed a new PLANNING COMMITTEE, which is analyzing and discussing the Survey results. They are working on a Three-Year Plan for CORPUS. Members of the Planning Committee: Nick De Los Reyes, Chair; Mary Ann Lord, Secretary, Helen and Denis Coleman, George O’Connell, Phil and Linda Marcin, Pattie Bastian, Maureen and John Sheehan.

NEW EDITORIAL COMMITTEE AND NEW EDITOR OF CORPUS REPORTS:

GOOD NEWS: The Editorial Committee and the Executive Council have offered the position of Editor of CORPUS REPORTS to Jim Ewens, a former Jesuit, who has published many articles in CORPUS REPORTS and NCR. We will be sending you more information on Jim in January.

Jim will be working with the Editorial Committee to develop plans for an eCORPUS REPORTS, in addition to the hard copy.

Members of the new Editorial Committee are: Mary Ann Cejka, Gloria Durka, Joe Holland, Stu O'Brien, Maureen and John Sheehan.

NEW COMMUNICATION COMMITTEE:
Paul Bumbar, Chair, Joe Cece, Stu O'Brien, and ex officio Maureen and John Sheehan. They are consolidating and streamlining all communication within CORPUS.

eCORPUS: Stu O’Brien is continuing to do an outstanding job managing eCORPUS. We owe a debt of gratitude to Stu for keeping us informed and connected with his e-newsletter and e- blog. He also works hard to remember and honor our deceased members. If you know of any members who have died, please pass their information on to Stu O’Brien at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

CONSTANT CONTACT:
Joe Cece has been the driving force in creating and implementing CONSTANT CONTACT which enables us to send out important information immediately to our members. Joe does a great job making our news look professional and sending it in a timely way.

RENEWING MEMBERSHIPS: ( click here to renew online)
If you haven't renewed your membership yet please do so now and be extremely accurate in giving your address. The Post Office has returned many CORPUS REPORTS as "NOT DELIVERABLE." If there is one tiny error in the address, the P.O. rejects it.

Andy Kukec works very diligently as our Data Base Coordinator, but he depends on members to give him accurate information. Please send any change of address (postal or e-mail) to Andy at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and thank him for keeping our records straight.

In closing, we wish you and your families blessings of health, peace, joy, and love for the new year.
Maureen & John Sheehan, Co-Chairs
