Jack Lang, 61, of Denver died of cancer 16 August 2001. After four years of study in Rome, Jack was ordained in 1968 for the archdiocese. In 1971 he married Mary Ann Feldman, and they parented two children. Jack had a passion for justice, especially manifest in his critique of racism. He worked in Colorado's civil rights division for 25 years, the last 12 as state director. He was honored with the Martin Luther King Human Rights Award and a similar one from the Anti-Defamation League. Church reform was also high on his list. Jack will be dearly missed by his family and a multitude of friends.
