A Mass of Christian Burial for Thomas J. O'Neill took place on January 25 at Holy Angels Catholic Church.

Mr. O'Neill died Sunday in Nazareth Nursing Home after a brief illness. He was 90.

Born in the Bronx, he graduated from Villanova University in Pennsylvania and Catholic University in Washington, DC before completing chaplaincy training at the University of Chicago. He was a priest serving as a novice master in the Midwest before leaving the Augustianian order in 1973.

Mr. O'Neill was utilization review coordinator at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston, and later counseled the elderly in Albany before moving to Buffalo in 1985.

He is survived by his wife, the former Anne Barrett.
