Date of birth: February 16, 1932 – Date of death: December 29, 2018

Charles Aloysius Meiser came to the end of his journey at the age of 86 on Dec. 29, 2018. He was blessed to leave this world with his wife, Barbara (Naberhaus) Meiser, son, Andrew Meiser, daughter Amy Morgan and grandchildren, Kaden and Kayley Morgan by his side. Charles was born to Eugene and Agnes Meiser in Noble, Oklahoma in 1932.

Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ernest Meiser and sisters Margaret Elkins, Jeannie Gaffney and grandson, Keagen Morgan. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Center of Family Love in Okarche, Oklahoma.

Charlie attended the Seminary of St. Thomas in Denver Colorado that was under the direction the Vincentian Fathers; and was ordained for the old diocese of Oklahoma City and Tulsa in about 1958. As I recall he first served as an associate pastor in El Reno, OK. Later he was on the Marriage Tribunal of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and also served as the Vocation Director for the Archdiocese. He left the active ministry in 1969. He then first worked as a sales clerk at the Sears Store in Midwest City and soon became an Allstate Insurance Agent in Edmond, OK until his retirement. Charlie continued to be very active in his local parish of St. John in Edmond, OK where he served for many years as the head of their RCIA program.

A Wake Service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2019, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2019, both services will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
