Stephen Ward Wells, Jr. was born on July 14, 1935 and passed away on Jan. 28, 2014 in Mariposa, California.
Born in Tulsa, Okla. to Gertrude and Stephen Wells, he attended the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium. He was a member of the Oklahoma Catholic Diocese for 14 years before working at the Department of Human Services in Oklahoma City and Cedar Lodge in El Portal.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Murdock of Mariposa and his children; Folly Murdock, and Jack Sharpsteen, of Haleiwa, Hawaii; Cheri Murdock and Dan Horner, of Mariposa; and Teri Murdock and Steve Fiamengo, of Newberry, S.C.; and brother Lawrence and Eileen Wells of St. Paul, Minn.
Wells had four grandchildren, Ian Maston and Katie Murdock, Zachary Sharpsteen, Mariah Sharpsteen and Kaiwi Murdock, one great granddaughter Jaclyn and numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
